Life is full of? surprises? problems? ups&downs? ifs&buts? and it seems harder when taken seriously. Do you remember the story of chicken little?  When an acron fell on her head she thought the sky is falling. It scared her so much and she ran in great fright to tell the king. Along the way she met other animals who believed and joined her. However, they never saw the king to tell him that the sky is falling. There is a bit of chicken little in all of us. We are afraid of so many things in our life and do everything to protect ourselves. But we forget to live life amidst up and down times. There is a big difference between living and merely existing and its not only the length but depth of life that matters. One should realize the fact that people who achieve great things are the ones who have fun doing them. Having fun is the pathway to a successful life. The funprint, just like the thumbprint, of a person is unique and is the map of one's true life. In childhood, it's easy to have fun, but in adulthood, fun often needs to become a priority. And that is important 'cos our lives are finite. The day we will disembark, our achievements won't matter to us and all that will remain is whether we enjoyed the ride.  So, live and work but do not forget to play, to have fun in life and really enjoy it. :)

TajMahal... One of the most beautiful symbols of love

Arjumand Banu Begum was a princess from the persian aristocracy. Such mesmerizing was her beauty that Prince Khurram (Shah Jahan) fell in love with her. Later she was married to him and thus started one of the most popular love stories of the world. Although she was the third wife of Shah Jahan, she was his favorite and unquestionable love of his life. He  bestowed her with the name Mumtaz Mahal that means 'beloved ornament of the palace'. She was also given the highest honor of the land - the royal seal, Mehr Uzaz. It is said that her beauty was unparalleled and nothing on this earth could match her. She was serene and placid with spotless milky white skin and was the object of poetry for many poets. She proved to be a loving and caring wife to her husband. While accompanying him on one of his war expeditions, she died during childbirth and whilst on her deathbed made her last wishes to her husband to erect a monument that would symbolize their love. Such was the affection of Mumtaz Mahal that impelled Shah Jahan to build up the most admirable tombs of all times.  Now, in the name of Mumtaz Mahal stands the most exquisite monument on the earth and that monument of love, purity and beauty is called the Taj Mahal. 

Setting Goals - Realizing Dreams

Can you summon into mind your dreams you have once had? Those visions which you have once admired to set out to live? Are you there where you once saw yourself: Maybe some steps behind - Maybe some steps ahead? I bet that most of us (and that includes me too) are those who have once or twice, even thrice or more, set their goals high, yet never have exceeded them - but do you know why? Do you know why you have never reached your goal? Do you know why you never reached the destination you aimed for? Do you know the actual reason why you have failed? Inspite of all this struggle and pain you have gone through give the impression of hopelessness? To be honest, the reason why most of us fail to live our life like we dreamt is because we do not realize our dreams. We know what we want to accomplish but knowing itself is not always enough. If we desire to see our goals and dreams in reality we must move toward them consistently and purposefully... :)

I Stand Alone

It is human to stand with the crowd; It is divine to stand alone. It is manlike to follow the people, to drift with the tide; It is godlike to follow a principle, to stem the tide. 

I stand alone closing my eyes not desiring anything to see. I stand alone with the darkness that is encircling me. I stand alone in the chilling cold of the night. I stand alone  too scared to go near the source of light. I stand alone till my rage changes to grief. I stand alone like a water drop falling from a leaf. I stand alone with no one to assist or to guide. I stand alone and nobody understands my plight. I stand alone frightened to fell. I stand alone having a mystery but not aspiring to tell. I stand alone totally exhausted of my life. I stand alone thinking to finish it by cutting my wrist with a knife.

Nothing is worse than doing something you know you should not be doing – you know it is not working – but you are doing it anyway because you have been told to “never give up”. Sometimes quitting is the best decision you can make. 

In our world where optimism and the “never give up” attitude is considered sacred, we are accustomed to push through barriers until we succeed. As child, our parents, relatives and teachers taught us to never give up! But at what point does this positive thinking mindset actually hurts someone? It is a fact that a lot of people view quitting as a negative thing to do but is it? If I am asked, I will say NO. The reason being, "Winners never quit,"  that is what we have been told always, however, in reality winners quit all the time preferring to stop doing things that are not generating the outcome they desire. 

Life is a beautiful struggle and sometimes quitting is the best thing one can do!
