An Evening on the Beach

I could see the hazy sun, sinking in the sea. It was like a big inspirational fire in the sky. The colors and intensity was just enough to calm anybody after a long tiring day. The rays had painted the sky in orange. I felt warmth on my face, evaporating all my negative thoughts, lifting my sorrow and my heart was lightened. However, with each passing moment it was getting away from me like an old friend who is waving good bye but with a sense of confidence that we will meet again.

Bangalore Diary: the road less travelled

Everyone in the city whether they are in student life or job life have one thing in common and that is they have to travel a lot. The time spent on roads may vary from 1 hour to 4-5 hours a day and that's really a lot when one has to maintain a tough schedule. Of course nobody likes it but it becomes a part of the life. However, I have a different perception of the things and so I find it really exciting when I am travelling. No matter its the same bus, same route, same destination, same people but there is something different everyday and its no more monotonous if one can feel that. Here I have compiled some of the images I took while I was wandering on the road. Isn't it look beautiful? So next time you are on the bus heading to your office/college or home don't complain about the journey but just enjoy the ride :)

Ye Hai Youngistan

I could give it a very catchy title. I could start with so many famous slogans. I could share famous quotes of  celebrities. I could throw out evidences regarding how 'Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan' achieved its goal only on paper. I could tell you the story of 'little chotu' working in roadside dhaba. I could tell you about others who help us in our domestic work in our home. They all have same stories, a poor family..drunkard father..sick mother..little sibblings, and same motto of earning their livelihood at a very young age. I could put one of many millions of images of children in India working in hazardous condition to earn livelihood. But I don't need to do all this, Do I? 'Cos we know it all. So here I am leaving you with this image... A Picture Says It All

Fly Me to the Moon

Moon? Isn't it just another heavenly body in the universe among so many others? But still it has been the symbol of love and romance since the mankind evolved. The idea of perfect date is incomplete without its presence. It has witnessed so many love stories including mine.

I still remember that night when I was on a bus going to Agra and there was this girl sitting with me. She had an unparalleled beauty and nothing on this earth could match her. She was serene and placid with spotless milky white skin. Her hair was raven black flowing with cool breeze around her face. Her eyes were chocolaty with a sensational sparkle and was dazzling in the night. Her lips were irresistible and heavenly to kiss. I was witnessing God's most beautiful angel face to face. I was deeply, madly and truly in love at the first sight with her. Though we were strangers but not for very long as she started the conversation with a formal introduction. Her name was Era Malhotra. She was really talkative and soon we were like good old friends and I didn't noticed when we went informal from being formal. I was so lost in her that I forgot I am in a bus and realized it only when it stopped at a dhaba.
“Are you hungry?” I asked.
“No. But I am tired of sitting here” She said.
“Let’s go out for a walk than”.
“Yeah! Great”.
So we stepped out of the bus. I grabbed a can of cold drink and she took her favorite chocolate from the counter and then we came out and started walking on the road. It was a clear sky with no traces of cloud. The moon was shining brightly along with thousands of twinkling stars. The Silhouette of the forest in the foreground was making the place look like paradise. One cannot experience such beauty of nature in their urban life. There was not much traffic on the highway except a few trucks were passing by us every now and then.  She was walking without uttering a word and for the first time since we met she was quiet for so long. We stopped a couple hundred yards in and sat on a rock.  The long silence was broken when she came little closer to me, touched my hand and said, “Best Time I Ever Had”. I looked in her eyes.   She was feeling the same way like I was. I embraced her in my arms and she lay her head on my shoulder. I felt her warm breathe on my neck. Her heartbeat was getting synchronized with mine. I whispered in her ears slowly and softly those three magical words and kissed on her forehead. She looked at me smiling and I smiled back... :)

Turning Stones

He sat there with legs dipped not in the sea but on the stones. They looked so differrent like 'starfish' and he loved the coolness they were offering to his tired body. It was a long day full of fuss. He hates his boss for making his life hell but it already had been so since Parampara, a girl he loved truly and honestly, deserted him. He sometimes sits here and wonder what turns his life would have taken had she been still there. He keeps imagining how it would have felt to come back home to her everyday but she is gone. She never gave a reason or even said a word ..just left.. and he had never forgiven her for that. And for some reason his thoughts are wandering to her today no matter how hard he tried not to think about her she was on his mind all day. Suddenly a ball hit him at the back of his head, annoyed, he turned to look for the one who is making his already bad day, worse. He stopped dead with his breath held as he saw a kid of 5 standing right behind him with his big beautiful eyes drenched in fear and concern. He looked oddly familiar like a shade of his own reflection, "I am hallucinating", he thought.
"May I have the ball please?"
He smiled, how Parampara would always correct him in the use of can and may. As he handed away the ball to him he tried to strike a conversation but the child shies away.
"Siddharth, Siddharth"
Damn he would recognize this voice even in his death and the way she used to call his name. Is she here??...for him?? No can’t be, he had not seen her in 5 years. The last he knew of her was when she walked out on him. He could see her faint outline at a distance. He held his breath as she walked closer to him.
"Siddharth"
"Mom", the child sucked in his breath, and that shook him off back to reality.
He felt disappointed she wasn't here for him. He saw in awe as the child ran back to her, held her hand and literally dragged her back to him. She was so obviously surprised. They kept looking at each other like they both have seen ghosts.
"Mom, may I please make castles on the beach", the kid pleaded.
"Okay but don't you dare mess up your clothes".
"Okay mom", he smiled and she ruffled his hair.
"Mom", he said in a mocking annoyed tone as he ran his fingers into his hairs to comb them back.
This gesture again oddly reminded him of himself. She kept looking at the child as he ran away off her vision and he kept looking at her trying to ascertain he ain't daydreaming. She was a bit uncomfortable. She knew he has questions to ask. He was feeling different sort of discomfort. He felt a tug at his heart like someone is squeezing breath out of his air tunnel. He felt a deep something inside and wasn’t sure if it is hate or love.
"How are you?" Her voice was still as husky as he remembered.
"Alive" he said hoarsely.
An odd silence spread between them.
"Why don’t you visit my home day over coffee?", so she still remembers he is a coffee lover.
"Sure".
"Okay, how about coming saturday?".
"Fine".
"okay, I must get back to my son, siddharth, you have met, she pointed in the direction he went few minutes ago".
"Yeah".
"Okay".
"Okay".
He inquired about her discreetly just out of curiosity. He was guilty pleased to find she is a single mother, ’looks like the man she left him for deserted her too’ he thought.
Saturday came crawling. He was told to wait for a while, as she is out with her son for a walk. He took his time going around in the aesthetically decorated home, the hall downstairs and 3 rooms upstairs, her bedroom, her son’s bedroom and a room that was locked. He wondered what’s in there. He heard some noises and hurriedly came back down. She looked flushed and her son was getting doubled laughing over something. They made a lovely sight to see. She abruptly stopped as she spotted him. She sent the kid upstairs as she asked me to wait till she makes the coffee. He had always loved her coffee. He strayed into kitchen after a while. They talked about their  lives...caught up on past...never once she mentioned any other man in her life.
“Parampara”, he said in hushed voice. She knew what was coming, "Why did you leave me? and where is the father of your child?"
"I thought you must have figured out by now".
He gasped as the realization struck him.
"Oh My God! How dumb I have been. No wonder he reminded me of myself in so many ways. He is my son."
"Why then?" he asked almost suffocated with pleasure.
"Because you were not ready".
She had asked me playfully how do I feel about being a father. I went into a rage at her question ink and had asked her not to think about it even in jokes. She had gone absolutely still and no conversation took place anytime later till he went to office. And by the time he came back she was gone.
"But I had limited resources then...I wasn't ready to run a family...I wasn't ready to marry you let alone have a child".
“I know, she said in a subdued understanding tone, "I didn’t want to be a burden on you, and I wanted to keep our child so I decided to walk out on you I...", she turned back only to see him sitting on his knees, holding in hands a ring he had been wearing.
"I have one more question, Will you marry me?"
She couldn't have said no.

Dreams and Desires

A girl in the open field under the sky
Dreams and Desires
Courtesy: Google
I don't have dreams
just compelling desires.
They leave me sleepless
burn like fire
catching me restless
holding me at edge
like a question unanswered
or as an insane philanderer.
It chases me
until I live it
until I turn it true
and believe it.
No, i don't have dreams
just compelling desires

China at the Olympics

It was in the year 1952 when flag of the People's Republic of China was raised for the first time in Olympic history at the Helsinki. They participated in only one event and couldn't manage any medal.  However, they din't paticipated till 1984 'cos of the dispute over the political status of China. Lets take a look at the medal tally of china in the olympics for last 5 years. 1992 Barcelona: China won 16 gold, 22 silver & 16 bronze and with a total of 54 medal they were at fourth position in the table. 1996 Atlanta: China won 16 gold, 22 silver & 12 bronze and with a total of 50 medal they were at fourth position in the table. 2000 Sydney: China won 28 gold, 16 silver & 14 bronze and with a total of 58 medal they were at third position in the table. 2004 Athens: China won 32 gold, 17 silver & 14 bronze and with a total of 63 medal they were at second position in the table. 2008 Beijing: China won 51 gold, 21 silver & 28 bronze and with a total of 100 medal they were at first position in the table. In only eight participation in the summer olympics they have managed a total of 385 medals that includes 163 gold, 117 silver & 105 bronze and is ranked at #7 in the all time Olympic games medal table.  The 2012 Olympics in London is scheduled to begin on 27th July and China is once again ready to dominate the medal table.
But what's the truth behind this great performance? The children in China are scouted at a very tender age. They are tested to see if their bodies can withstand the demands of the sport. The majority of them don't make into it but those who are selected their training starts which is a life long process of becoming the best. At an age of 4 years they have to balance between a toilsome training schedule and a tough school routine and are allowed to meet their parents only at the weekends. This age is a lot earlier than when athletes from other countries start training and their training programmes also are  not as harsh as in China. However, not everyone from these sports training academy makes into the Olympics and win medals. They often suffer from unemployment and poverty. They can't do anything 'cos they have no skills. The over training also results in health problem at the later stage of life.  Isn't this a cruel behavior on children and should constitute as child abuse?

The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not to win but to take part, just as the most important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle. The essential thing is not to have conquered but to have fought well.

The story of an IITian

Everyone in the country wants to be an engineer and when it comes to engineering there is one and only name on everyone's mouth - Indian Institute of Technology. It is a dream of every engineering aspirant to be a part of this prestigious institute. The reason:
  • It is difficult to achieve and the challenges adds to its appeal. It is human nature that the thing which we find tougher looks more attractive to us.
  • It sets the students apart from the rest of the society - they are viewed as a subject of envy and receives praise and applause from all around that gives a sense of euphoria.
  • It is considered that it gives a great start to the career 'cos companies compete each other to hire IIT graduates.
But are these reasons actually true? or it just seems so until one gets inside? I recently read about an IITian and that presents a different inside story.

The question arises: Is it worth studying in IIT? Of course the answer is YES! But everyone in IITs does not make it big and everyone not in IITs doesn’t end it up here.

There is a LIFE beyond IITs.

Jesus Christ

I am God Almighty; Walk before Me, and be blameless

An angel, Gabriel, sent by God met Mary and told her that  she would give birth to the Son of God.  She was engaged to Joseph, a carpenter and he was instructed by the angel to marry her. He took her to Bethlehem to register for a census and there she gave birth to Jesus. The wicked king learnt about his birth and sent soldiers to kill the child. Joseph was warned by an angel and he took his family to egypt. They returned only when the king died and raised the child in a town called Nazareth. Jesus had many friends, including John the Baptist and the 12 disciples whom he selected as companions. Their names were: Andrew, Bartholomew, James(son of Alpheus), James(son of Zebedee), John, Judas, Matthew, Peter, Philip, Simon, Thaddeus and Thomas. They had different backgrounds and they travelled with Jesus as he preached. Jesus taught people how to live godly lives. He often used parables to teach his listeners to: Trust God, Not to be anxious about future, Stop judging others & Love all including your enemies. He gave the golden rule that said: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Jesus had power over nature, disease and even death and he did many miracles to show others that he was God's son.
Power over nature: Jesus and his disciples were on a small boat in the sea of Galilee. A fierce storm came and started to sink the boat. His disciples were worried and asked for help. He arose and reprimand the storm to be at peace and even the wind and sea obeyed him.
Power over disease: A blind beggar was when told by the crowd that Jesus is passing by the street he cried out for help. He said he wants to regain his sight so that he can see the world. Jesus said: "Receive your sight; your faith has made you well." and it brought light back in his eye.
Power over death: A man named Lazarus who lived in Bethany died. When Jesus learnt about his death he came to Bethany. The man had been dead for 4 days and his body was kept in a cave covered with stone. He asked to remove the stone and shouted, "Lazarus, come forth!" and the man came out from his death bed.
However, jewish leaders accused him of blasphemy. He was arrested and was sentenced to death by crucifixion. His body was placed in the tomb and soldiers were kept to guard the tomb of Jesus. On the third day, soldiers fled and disciples came and found an empty tomb. Jesus had risen from the dead. He appeared in front of his followers and asked them to spread the knowledge and teach others.

An ode to Goddess Saraswati

A page from my diary
Date: 30/01/2012

It was not planned but I had to go Ranchi today. The reason was that my friends wanted a treat for my birthday that was a month back. On my way I saw people carrying idols of Goddess Saraswati. My general awareness is good enough to know why and where they were taking the idols but the point of discussion is not that. Its not even about the 'traffic problem' they were creating 'cos of the occasion as it is very normal phenomena here and it doesn't require any special occasion, all thanks to the traffic sense of ranchites. What attracted and made me curious to think about it was actually the songs the 'devotees' were playing and dancing on them. At first it was hard to believe on ears but when I believed I was in a stage of shock trying to figure out the relation between Goddess Saraswati, Songs and the motives of crowd going crazy over the bollywood tunes like Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast& Munni Badnam Hui Darling Tere Liye & Chamak Cham Chamke Angoori Badan!!! Being an optimist I was trying to defend them by arguing myself in their favor. My sole motive at that time was to  somehow give a rationale reason of playing these songs at that occasion and these were the reasons I came up with:
Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast
Saraswati is Goddess of knowledge and she is prayed for gaining knowledge and studies, to sharpen the intellect and improve memory. With this song, perhaps they meant to say that she is awesome and best of the best. This was an easy pick. But the next two was definitely not!
Munni Badnam Hui Darling Tere Liye
We call someone by their nicknames or some kind of loving sweet name when we consider them very close to us. Munni is one of those loving sweet name (remember a father calls his son as munna and daughter as munni) and calling Goddess Saraswati with this name shows their affection towards Her. But how is She infamous is tricky to answer. This probably denotes her sacrifice for us.
Chamak Cham Chamke Angoori Badan
This was the toughest one to justify. The above lines seems a lustful expression to me and it cannot be related to Goddess Saraswati in any sense. Perhaps they who were playing it knows better than me.

Life @ BIT Mesra: PART 1

PART 1: First Year
A journey that started on 22nd July 2008. That was the day when I reached Mesra to live my dream in reality. Yes, it was my dream and I always wished to study here. I was allocated 'Hostel No. 3; Room No. 63'. It was a long lobby and where that ended was my room and perpendicular to it was another small lobby. I was happy 'cos it was a single room and a big window through which I could see the jungle behind the hostel. I was impressed with the campus since my first visit during counselling and admission process 'cos of its location in the middle of a jungle and far from the city. But there was an unusual silence over there at that moment which I had never felt before during my earlier visits. The silence was kind of disturbing and was making me feel uncomfortable. One more thing that I worried about was 'Ragging'. That's the term which makes every fresher shivers down to the spine. There was a lot of people in there like me with their parents. Everyone was busy in cleaning their rooms and trying to settle themselves. But still the silence prevailed and it was broken by this guy, Ankit Goyal. He came by to say 'Hello' and then we had a little chat. He told me that he is from nearby Ranchi area and was preparing for entrance exam from Kota. I was never good at making friends and I was happy I got a friend.  Later in the evening during snacks time I met other guys of my lobby and those were Deepanshu Ujjain, Prateek Jain, Ranjan Kr Rahul, Sparsh Sinha, Riju Chatterjee, Subhradip Saha, Anchit Jain, Aditya Ujjwal and Shailesh Kejriwal. That was the friend circle and I had so many friends on the first day only. This was the new start of life at a new place.
The induction phase
From the next day, only the classes started. I realised one thing that there are way too many students in my branch, a whopping 120. During our initial days, there was no study pressure. We were taken by our professors to visit the laboratories in the college and there were many. At first, it was exciting to visit but later that proved to be boring as they started to explain everything related to a particular instrument and that was too much for a twelfth pass out student. One day we were asked to gather at the institute auditorium. That was an official introduction of so many clubs functioning in the college and that so many clubs counts to approximately 32 at that time. Every club was giving their brief introduction and was asking us to join. It was told that its necessary to join one technical and one non-technical club and at max one can join three clubs.
Ragging?
Ragging... That's the term which makes every fresher student live in fear. But, luckily I never faced any ragging and in fact nobody faced it in the college. The administration was very serious on this aspect. Our seniors had to submit a document stating that if they will be found indulged in ragging than they will be expelled. There were security guards in our hostel and patrol parties used to spy any such activity. The location of our hostel was also such that it discouraged anyone to come for ragging. But the downside of this was very less interaction with seniors and the result was we were not given 'fresher's party'.   I was happy 'cos I never wanted to feel the heat of ragging.
PT and Games
I hated it. There was a dress code: white t-shirt and half pant? The instructors there used to think themselves as a professor. One of the instructor Mahendra Prasad aka Chaddi Singh used to boast so much about himself in games activity but that always used to end with him saying that he is having pain in his leg and can't play. That was not like a game period but more like NCC 'cos we had to do 'attention' and 'stand-at-ease' stuff most of the time. They never allowed us to go before time and that continued for two years. I wanted to switch to NCC or NSS but there was no such provision.
IEI club
There was a test conducted by this club. A set of questions were given and we were asked to submit it later. We all cheated. Our every answer were matching but don't know how I came third and was given a prize of 'One Hundred Rupees'. There was another guy, Antesh Singh, who came first and was given a prize of 'Three Hundred Rupees'. A total of four hundred rupees and all came 'cos of us cheating together so it had to be spent in a party at the canteen.
The Best Professor
...and the award goes to Prof A K Roy. He was kind. He was supportive. He used to teach us 'Engineering Mechanics'. It was a boring subject but 'cos of his style of teaching it used to seem interesting. Beside teaching us the subject he always used to tell us about 'intranet'.
The Worst Professor
Prof S K Chatterjee. No Doubt. His subject was C Programming. Either he doesn't know the subject or he doesn't know how to teach. Everyone was afraid of programming 'cos of that man. Those who were in 'Computer Engineering' started thinking of a branch slide while those who wanted to slide to 'Computer Engineering' dropped their idea.  There was such a fear of the subject.
Technieek
The first fest in the college and the participation was huge. Everyone in the first year had participated. We had to participate in a team of five members. The name of my team was 'Fraternity' and that included Aditya Ujjwal, Deepanshu Ujjain, Prateek Jain, Ranjan Kr Rahul and of course me. Though we didn't reach the core night of the fest but it was fun.
Pocket Tanks
Our own little competition that got huge participation. An entry fee of ten rupees was kept and a cash award to the winner was declared. However, the plan was to make someone in our group to win and that actually happened with Ankit Goyal winning the title of first ever pocket tank winner. We had money, so another party but this time at Munna Dhaba.
Gauri-Gunda
An another name in the list of worst professor category. The man used to teach us 'Basic Electrical Engineering'. But I don't think he was teaching but actually harassing us. He was a self-obsessed and an insensitive human being. He was a frustrated soul and we used to pity 'EEE' guys of having such professors in their department.
...And somehow the first year ended with 'us' heading for the trip to Darjeeling-Gangtok.
A Happy Ending

You Only Live Once

Do you have enough fun in your life? And what do you do to have fun and blow off stress? Share Your Fun Strategies

Life is full of? surprises? problems? ups&downs? ifs&buts? and it seems harder when taken seriously. Do you remember the story of chicken little?  When an acron fell on her head she thought the sky is falling. It scared her so much and she ran in great fright to tell the king. Along the way she met other animals who believed and joined her. However, they never saw the king to tell him that the sky is falling. There is a bit of chicken little in all of us. We are afraid of so many things in our life and do everything to protect ourselves. But we forget to live life amidst up and down times. There is a big difference between living and merely existing and its not only the length but depth of life that matters. One should realize the fact that people who achieve great things are the ones who have fun doing them. Having fun is the pathway to a successful life. The funprint, just like the thumbprint, of a person is unique and is the map of one's true life. In childhood, it's easy to have fun, but in adulthood, fun often needs to become a priority. And that is important 'cos our lives are finite. The day we will disembark, our achievements won't matter to us and all that will remain is whether we enjoyed the ride.  So, live and work but do not forget to play, to have fun in life and really enjoy it. :)

Waah tAAj...

TajMahal... One of the most beautiful symbols of love
Arjumand Banu Begum was a princess from the persian aristocracy. Such mesmerizing was her beauty that Prince Khurram (Shah Jahan) fell in love with her. Later she was married to him and thus started one of the most popular love stories of the world. Although she was the third wife of Shah Jahan, she was his favorite and unquestionable love of his life. He  bestowed her with the name Mumtaz Mahal that means 'beloved ornament of the palace'. She was also given the highest honor of the land - the royal seal, Mehr Uzaz. It is said that her beauty was unparalleled and nothing on this earth could match her. She was serene and placid with spotless milky white skin and was the object of poetry for many poets. She proved to be a loving and caring wife to her husband. While accompanying him on one of his war expeditions, she died during childbirth and whilst on her deathbed made her last wishes to her husband to erect a monument that would symbolize their love. Such was the affection of Mumtaz Mahal that impelled Shah Jahan to build up the most admirable tombs of all times.  Now, in the name of Mumtaz Mahal stands the most exquisite monument on the earth and that monument of love, purity and beauty is called the Taj Mahal.

Setting Goals - Realizing Dreams

Can you summon into mind your dreams you have once had? Those visions which you have once admired to set out to live? Are you there where you once saw yourself: Maybe some steps behind - Maybe some steps ahead? I bet that most of us (and that includes me too) are those who have once or twice, even thrice or more, set their goals high, yet never have exceeded them - but do you know why? Do you know why you have never reached your goal? Do you know why you never reached the destination you aimed for? Do you know the actual reason why you have failed? Inspite of all this struggle and pain you have gone through give the impression of hopelessness? To be honest, the reason why most of us fail to live our life like we dreamt is because we do not realize our dreams. We know what we want to accomplish but knowing itself is not always enough. If we desire to see our goals and dreams in reality we must move toward them consistently and purposefully... :)

I Stand Alone

It is human to stand with the crowd; It is divine to stand alone. It is manlike to follow the people, to drift with the tide; It is godlike to follow a principle, to stem the tide.

I stand alone closing my eyes not desiring anything to see. I stand alone with the darkness that is encircling me. I stand alone in the chilling cold of the night. I stand alone  too scared to go near the source of light. I stand alone till my rage changes to grief. I stand alone like a water drop falling from a leaf. I stand alone with no one to assist or to guide. I stand alone and nobody understands my plight. I stand alone frightened to fell. I stand alone having a mystery but not aspiring to tell. I stand alone totally exhausted of my life. I stand alone thinking to finish it by cutting my wrist with a knife.

iQuit

Nothing is worse than doing something you know you should not be doing – you know it is not working – but you are doing it anyway because you have been told to “never give up”. Sometimes quitting is the best decision you can make.

In our world where optimism and the “never give up” attitude is considered sacred, we are accustomed to push through barriers until we succeed. As child, our parents, relatives and teachers taught us to never give up! But at what point does this positive thinking mindset actually hurts someone? It is a fact that a lot of people view quitting as a negative thing to do but is it? If I am asked, I will say NO. The reason being, "Winners never quit,"  that is what we have been told always, however, in reality winners quit all the time preferring to stop doing things that are not generating the outcome they desire.
Life is a beautiful struggle and sometimes quitting is the best thing one can do!

Water Photography

High speed photography is the science of taking pictures of very fast phenomena.
It is a blend of technical meticulousness and artistic flexibility that makes us able to capture a moment in time that we would otherwise be unable to see. Beating the timing, focus, and lighting within a lapse of moment that our eye cannot process can be very challenging. Those who persevere in high speed photography are masters of patience. The results are simply fascinating. Since our eye cannot freeze time and the things become instantly interesting when the moment is frozen in time.
Water is often used in high-speed photography as it is appropriate for producing different structure depending on how one has set up the shot.
The following are a collection of High Speed Photographs featuring the use of water taken by Mayank Kumar...

Flowers in Life

Flowers are the sweetest things God ever made, and forgot to put a soul into.
It does not matter what you are: Writer? Photographer Painter? Gardener? Florist? Flowers are always a source of inspiration to people from all walks of life. Flowers are known to play an eloquent role in human life making it more cheerful and happy. The colors of flowers have meaning and speak a language that is their own  The language of flowers can help us express ourselves when words fail to convey. Let us consider the example of rose. A red rose symbolizes love and romance. A pink rose symbolizes grace, admiration and sweetness. A yellow rose symbolizes brightness, happiness and friendship. An orange rose symbolizes enthusiasm, passion and desire. A blue rose represents accomplishing the impossible and overcoming all odds. A white rose symbolizes peace, purity and spirituality. A black rose symbolizes death. It is time for you to decide which color best suits your purpose and send one or a full bouquet of flowers to someone you care about right now.

Do you like to walk alone?....

(:A Walk To Remember:)
Am I talking about the movie? Naaaah :) It may be about your first walk with your dad holding his finger in a crowded place. It may be about your evening walk with your soul mate holding his/her hand. It may be about your walk with your friends after classes. It seems you can conquer the world when they are with you. SOUNDS PERFECT? Isn't it? But what if you are Walking Alone? Its Dark - Under the sky in moonlight and twinkling stars; In the empty streets with dead silence. Your shadow is the only one that walks beside you. Your heart is the only thing that's beating and making sound. With no destination in your mind - Lost in your own thoughts; you are just WALKING ALONE.
Do you think you are going to like it? Or is it too scary??
I walk a lonely road
The only one that I have ever known
Don't know where it goes
But it's home to me and I walk alone
I walk this empty street
On the Boulevard of broken dreams
Where the city sleeps
And I'm the only one and I walk alone
I walk alone
I walk alone
I walk alone
I walk alone
Ah-ah, ah-ah, ah-ah, aaah-ah,
Ah-ah, ah-ah, ah-ah.

On a lighter note,
You may love walking in the rain, 'cos no one can see you crying :'(
You may love walking in the fog, 'cos no one can see you smoking :D
You may love just walking, 'cos you cannot afford vehicle :P
But my question still remains same -
Do you like to walk alone?... :)
